The 5hr calculus classes for engineering were extremely tough, but it's mostly dependent on what teacher you have. It took me 3 tries. First try it was 5 days a week at 7:30am, and the professor took roll, a few absences caused you to lose a letter grade from your final grade. 2nd attempt was a grad student from Iran that taught the class. I couldn't understand a word he was saying and tried to teach myself from the book. After needing to drop both of those, 3rd attempt I had a decent teacher and was able to eeek through with a passing grade. I frickin hate calculus.

I decided to take a Chemical Engineering Fluid Dynamics class as a graduate student at LSU. My major (also engineering) didn't require us to take Linear Algebra in undergrad - just Differential Equations. So, I was learning some really difficult Fluid Dynamics while also having to learn Linear Algebra on the fly. That was a lot of fun. . .

I legit felt like:

Luckily, Dr. Thompson was right near the top of the list of best professors I had at LSU. He was a great teacher and I was able to keep up and learned a TON.

For me, French. Some people have an aptitude for learning other languages. I do not. Ended up with a C. I managed to get a B and a B+ in a couple of sociology courses that I was expecting lower marks in. Had some contentious words with both instructors over some of their biases.

Not by a long shot - anyone who spends any time studying breezes through this. Later when you you hit P.Chem, studying doesn't seem to help.

This thing called Asymptotic Expansions and Perturbation Techniques - took this as an upper level math elective for some reason.

On the occasions I was able to follow the methodology for whatever type of problem we were studying that week and get to the solution it was very rewarding.

We studied Boundary Layers which was pretty cool - for example in fluid flow looking at the airflow adjacent to the wing and impacted by friction, the actual airflow outside and then the transition / boundary layer between the two and solving for a model of the airflow anywhere in the system.

The "FINAL" was 5 problems we got to take home and bring back before or during our final exam time to turn in. I think the teacher passed my out of sympathy as it was me 3 other undergrads who had taken it as an elective and like 10 / 15 grad students.

Calculus. The instructor offered to let me drop the class for a D. I was too stupid to take him up on his offer.

I skipped P. Chem I and went straight to P. Chem II as one of my required advanced science electives. Had a great teacher and enjoyed that class. Got to learn MathCAD and create 3D models of atoms. Pretty cool

I don't remember the number, but the fifth French class in the sequence. It was basically a literature class but entirely in French. We had to read short stories, novels, write papers and give presentations entirely in French. It was a ton of work.

Comparative Anatomy in the 80's with Ms. Homberger, aka The Bavarian Bitch.

Unnecessarily difficult.

Besides, the text, the lectures, and the labs, there were the "read all these article in Scientific American". You never knew where the essay questions would be pulled from.

in 2010 she was dismissed from teaching by LSU for "grading too hard" in an introductory biology class.
