I don't remember the number, but the fifth French class in the sequence.
I was a 3.8 student at LSU but foreign languages have always kicked my arse. I eventually just took 2 Latin classes to satisfy the language requirements.

Business Calculus at LSU. Not because the material was hard, but because we tested in the computer lab and there was no partial credit. Misplace a parenthesis, 0 points.

I'm sure you meant that in a derogatory manner but that's actually a cool nickname. She was probably proud of it.

Astronomy was petty damn hard for me. I thought it would be a cool class to take but I was wrong.

Yeah we had a group of 4 of us sign up for it. We all dropped it before the 2nd class.

Yeah, they pull the bait and switch.
You think you're signing up to look at some pretty pictures and they start up with all of that sidereal time bullshite.

I took a 3000 level finance course, Securities. First few weeks....stocks, bonds, shorts, options, t-bills...ok not so bad. Then we got into some derivatives like principal and interest strips among others. This is where I checked out, took my W and looked for another biz school elective for next semester.

EE here, too. Had a Power prof who would explain difficult homework problems during office hours any time I asked. He then put them on the next exam lol
Also had the same prof for Statistics that I had for Circuits I. A study partner and I did all the problems at the end of each textbook chapter. We decided we'd teach ourselves since the prof was such a jerk. Turns out the open book/open notebook final was...every problem in the textbook. Study partner ripped those pages out of his notebook, walked 'em up to the front and left within five minutes.
Since I have no balls at all (duh) - I sat there and copied my answers from my notebook. Everybody in the class totally loathed my study partner from that day forward. Good times.

Organic chemistry. But I dominated and they made me an undergrad TA.
Physics was up there also.

Quantitative Methods in Economics

At LSU it wasn't so bad. The thing about the empirical analysis series (Principles of Econometrics, Forecasting, and Financial Econometrics) was that every one else struggled so hard that the curve could carry you.
Dr. Hill made the classes worth it IMO.
But yeah, it definitely helped knowing it was a struggle for everyone. Some of those tests I would walk out having no clue how much of what I wrote was right and how much was completely wrong.

I've gone through this whole thread. And how has Organic Chem lab at LSU not been mentioned?
Took me three times to pass that one.

Any and every algebra from Jr high on.
Statistics, economics, accounting, etc. I got, including grad school. Throw a letter into a math problem and I’m done.
Business major so no science classes to speak of, but when my wife was going through physical therapy school I would help her study. Those bio classes would have eaten my lunch too.

Chemistry. Only class I’ve failed
I’m really good at memorizing but I couldn’t understand the stuff enough to try to remember it

I skipped P. Chem I and went straight to P. Chem II as one of my required advanced science electives. Had a great teacher and enjoyed that class. Got to learn MathCAD and create 3D models of atoms. Pretty cool
You have my respect. My P.Chem grades (F-D, F-C) kept me out of PhD program in Wisconsin I really wanted to get into.

Dr. Hill was a really good teacher. His data sets that he used were genuinely interesting and topical.
I had Dr. Hillebrand for the other two in the series. He was a young-ish (40's?) German professor who thought everyone in the class had a stronger math background than the reality. He wasn't bad either, but it seemed like he struggled to relate to students who didn't find the material profoundly easy like he did.
