Generally eight to twelve weeks. Depends on which Armed Service you are in.

I came back from boot camp and broke up with my GF. In hindsight, that was a smart decision. Went out with friends, drank much booze, and hooked up. Then I went to A school.

Went and saw "Platoon" 3 times in 2 days. It was the weekend before AIT, saw it with my parents on Saturday, then went and saw it twice on Sunday with guys in my unit, after my parents left.
