Senior year HS.
A girl I had a crush on since freshman year.
Over the years, lots of mutual friends but never a chance to hang out and get to know her or sell myself.
So senior year, last semester.... Valentine's Day... my friends convinced me to give her flowers at school.. they all said 'come on man, do it do it, you don't have a gf and she doesn't have a bf, you never know until you try, no regrets blah blah' and they pump me up to do it.
So ... after school there was talent show rehearsal that she and I were both in, so I went to Kroger to get flowers and came back, walked into theater, gave them to her in front of a bunch of people, it was really awkward and embarrassing for her probably more than me, she never made eye contact with me ever again after that and the fail made its way around the school and it was just humiliating.

Basically anything along the lines of "i need to convince this girl to be with me".
