The new thing where I live is for cops to have their cop decals be the same color as the car itself. Basically, it is a white car with white "Police" going across it.
Starting to see these here in Baton Rouge.

I've never seen a cop wear a seat belt. Are they exempt?

The Barney Fife in Dodson is eventually going to kill somebody. He waits a little bit before he pulls out so they speeder can get a little farther down the road and then he can go in hot pursuit:

probably buckling up before he takes off.

I've been driving through Krotz Springs at least once a month in both directions. Haven't seen one single cop.
they still sit at the foot of the bridge on the village side. Port Barre is another area they seem to make a pretty good living on.
WBR posts a couple of deputies in the parking lot of Camilles most mornings and on weekends. If you are eastbound, slow down. They make lots o money right there.
Again, if you know they are there, you shouldn't be speeding. Let the Texas drivers fund the parish.

Wayyy worse in Florida, especially on I-10.
I've taken several trips to the coast the last 6 months, and saw maybe 1 trap across La/Ms/Al for every 5 in Florida. They like to hide at the bottom of a hill and let you pick up speed.

LSP had a similar technique going about 40 years ago. For few years in the late '70s, there were State Troopers in Crown Vics of about a dozen different colors, mostly ugly. Seriously ... baby shite light yellow, maroon, lavender, dog turd brown, etc. I'm convinced that Ford couldn't sell this ugly palette of colors, so they told LSP that they would work as semi-undercover cars for traffic enforcement.
I can't recall positively if they had light bars, but I think they did. If you were along side of them, they were marked just like every other patrol car. But the different colors fricked people up for a while. After being conditioned to watch out for white cars, it took a while to start focusing on body style.
If I had to guess, it slowed people down. Which is probably why they stopped doing it. The revenue decrease was unacceptable.

Louisiana is my least favorite state to drive through. It feels like one giant speed trap.
Then make a detour around it. See if you like that better.

I got stopped and ticketed getting on to I-49 from 167. No visible speed limit signs and I was moving along with traffic. Arkansas is bad, too. The Faulner county prosecutor had to ban the Damascus PD from issuing citations on highway 65.

Small towns like that are worthless... the only thing keeping them alive is revenue from speed trap tickets...should be allowed to die off

The prick cop in Vidalia who rides in the SUV -- it's like being pulled over by Barney Fife. I hope he has a car run over his foot.
It's definitely a LA thing. Police want to be trusted, yet they turn hide and seek tricks to catch "speeders". Some are warranted -- take Bluebonnet to Nicholson for instance. Most, however, are not.
Uneducated, insecure, and think they have to be tough/mean to get a point across. That is the majority of cops in this state.

Wisner
Sicily Island
Ferriday
Vidalia
Woodville
St. Francisville

Today in Kenner, I-10 is closed due to the ice. Had about 20 of them in the road at Williams & Vets checking for Brake Tags & Seat Belts...Great opportunity for 'Kenna Bra' to make some extra $$$$
