Having moved around a lot.....yes. Hiring someone to do the heavy lifting is WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Even if you rent a Penske or Uhaul - hire someone to load it and unload it.

Bought a 15 year old Lexus LX470 4 years ago. It is indestructible. Just remember...it's all about smiles per gallon...not miles per gallon.
Hoping the prices on these come down as gas prices go up. Have a 2008 2WD 4Runner and a 1998 Wrangler that I'm looking to sell so I can turn around and buy a ~2006-2008 470

Mid-90s I bought a 1980 Dodge 3/4 ton Army ambulance with <2500 miles for $3500. The story was that they had been intended for sale to Pakistan but an embargo on the sale of military equipment left them in limbo. That's sort of contradicted by the discolored traces of Red cross stickers on the doors but it's been a trouble-free beast of a truck. It lives at the camp because my wife thinks it's ugly. That's women for you.

I paid $34k for a 2007 Tundra that’s still going strong and has kept me out of car payments for a long time. It might not be the best money I’ve ever spent, but it’s up there.

Just remodeled my house instead of buying a new one. Fawking love how it came out and didn't spend a bunch of stoopid money on new dirt

$.50 was for a coke afterwards.

A leaf vaccum. My life as a homeowner in a neighborhood with a ton of trees can be divided into 2 chapters.
1. Pre leaf vacuum
2. post leaf vacuum: the golden age
