Blue heeler always was my favorite. Super loyal. So much so it made mine easy to train basic stuff. Could almost speak to them in sentences

A mixed lab/Shepard we got from pet savers.
Best dog I’ve ever had.

I'll never own anything besides a standard poodle again

Incredibly smart and athletic, great with kids, don't shed. no cons

I have two, one is always asking for a head pat and the other is just happy to be near you. They’re the freaking best.

I've had golden retrievers, german shepherds, brittany spaniels, and yorkies. It's the Yorkie hands down. They're smart, quiet, affectionate, fearless, they don't shed, and they live for longer.

I lost my first one last year at 15 years old. We have a Yorkie puppy right now and she has the same personality as the one I lost.

Now have a mini golden doodle and an Aussie doodle. Once you have a dog that doesn’t shed you can never go back. And they are wicked smart.

Aussie doodles interest me. I've been around one and really liked that dog. If you get one that doesn't shed, that would be excellent. Our Aussie shed a lot.

They are like Aussies tho... if you let them get bored, they can tear shiat up.

lol, some of the best advice I ever read before getting our Aussies was that they are working dogs and if you don't give them a job that you want done, they will come up with one of their own, and you probably won't like it.

Aussies require a strong owner. They learn easily, but you have to spend time with them and train them. It's really not hard and if you do, you end up with a great companion that will keep you entertained, amused, and amazed (and herded).

Chesapeake Bay Retreiver. After the first died I thought I'd never get another dog but several years later I'm 8 years into my second one. Hands down the best two dogs I've ever had. Loyal, stays close to home, keeps people their cars with a vicious bark. I could go on and on. Biggest drawback is headstrong. This will be my last dog due to age but if I was getting another dog, this breed would be top of the list.

Ours doesn’t but he does very much like to be with us wherever we go and looks sad when we leave him at home. He’ll even sometimes try to block the door when he can tell we’re leaving without him.

We have a 6 month old mostly American Great Dane (more greyhound and not as much mastiff as the European Danes) so he doesn’t drool, which is great!

At this very moment all I can say is the jury is still out on Great Danes ……
He’s still a pup, though.

He’s more aggressive than we expected after reading about the breed. He tackles our 2 younger sons sometimes, but they kind of “ask for it”. If it gets out of hand, we just spray him with water from a spray bottle.

He’s intelligent —quickly learned high five, lay down etc, but he’s defiant too. If you fuss at him he will become upset and “get you back” by doing exactly what you fussed at him about over and over. So only positive reinforcement works with him.

It has been quite an experience learning how to get along with this pony of a puppy. Sometimes I have to remind my husband that he’s just a puppy when he misbehaves because he LOOKS like a fully grown dog (already bigger than a lab at 6 months).

I didn’t own a Great Pyrenees, but I dog sat for one often over a year, and he was the best dog I’ve ever known. Great with kids! He struggled with the heat here, though. He was an amazing beautiful sweet dog. He looked like Falcor from the Neverending Story.

Here’s our Great Dane. He’s a handsome dog….

Had a retired greyhound for 15 years . She was a couch potato until you asked her to go walking . I still remember her toenails dancing on the wood floor . Old Jim B Rocking Robin .
