Quit in January and never going back.

But I don’t care one way or the other if anyone else smokes and businesses should be the one to decide if it’s allowed or not.

What I never understood was smoking a cigarette while riding a chair lift. I mean, you're at 12,000 ft., there's already no air in the air and you're going to limit your lung capacity?

I don't get it. Smoking a few while drinking is pretty standard.

Don't know but ever since I took early retirement, I've been thinking about taking it up... or at least start when I figure I've got 15-20 years left. It should take longer than that to suffer any serious consequences and would hate to leave a bunch on the table when I check out. I feel like I'd look awfully silly on the autopsy table with perfectly clean, pink lungs... I'd at least like to try to run up the miles a little...

What’s the appeal of having the same thread 4 times a week?

For me, it was a case of being a dumb 14 year old that was trying to look cool and fit in with friends. By the time I realized how stupid it was I was addicted and it took years to finally kick the habit.

I am always a little surprised when I learn that someone started smoking as an adult.

I didn't start until I was 27 years old. I never even tried a drag of a cig growing up.

I smoked from the time I was in high school. I found it relaxing.

I haven’t smoked a cigarette since July 2, 2016. I figure conservatively I didn’t smoke 20,540 cigarettes during that time. That’s a lot.

Yup. Almost NO ONE starts smoking after the age of, say, 20. You're immortal in high school.

I’m 40, and I started when I was 38, smoke less than a pack a month, but I find it relaxing short mental break. I don’t smoke socially though just alone. I’m sure a few people have figured it out, but I’ve never really told anyone.

Less than one a day? You still haven't started. Better be careful though.

Ended up smoking one when I was drunk, then I went and bought a pack.

Sometimes 2-3 in a day, but I’ll go a week or two without one
