Half of these folks preaching to smokers are fat fricks.

I don't get it either. My dad was a smoker and I hated the smell when I was a kid and it was drilled into my head that they were addictive and not good for you so I never wanted to even try to smoke them.

I've smoked marijuana, but have never smoked a cigarette. Do most people know they are addictive and causes health issues when they first attempt to smoke? If so, why even try them?

They smell bad so they make the smoker smell bad, it makes the smoker's breath smell, it makes their teeth yellow. They are relatively expensive. It can cause lung and other types of cancer. It's not good for your health in general.. What is the appeal?

Adolescents are funny.

Ah, look at the adolescent acting independent.

Have you had a drink before? Were you aware that alcohol is addictive and causes health issues?

The thought process is the same. "What could one or two hurt"? They're generally not setting out to get addicted.

Used to be young people doing it to fit in. Addiction obviously follows.

Also sucking down a Winston 100 in a couple of drags followed by chugging a couple of fingers of Canadian Club always looks and feels cool

I enjoyed smoking a cig when I was drinking and shooting pool. It's hard to explain the symbiotic relationship between booze and smoking, but it clicks.

When you’re strung out on shitty cocaine you got in Baton Rouge near Roosevelt St., you better believe it feels cool.

I can't stand smokers, but when I was on active duty I didn't breathe if it wasn't through a cig, especially in country.

I don't get it. Smoking a few while drinking is pretty standard.

Not disagreeing, but if you have ever used the phrase "burn a Joe" then I can guarantee you and I would not get along.
