If you want someone to criticize, go look in the mirror. You might not be a fat arse but I guarantee there's plenty about you that needs work and improvement. Still you're out there judging other people like you've walked in their shoes. Want the world to be a better place? Look inward. Mind your own business. Focus on you.

For weight loss it is.

Sure for healthiness, and because it makes the above more difficult. But you can still do it and lose weight if you have a Caloric deficit.

Its easy if you fast. Most days I don’t eat until sometime around 3-5. Just stay cracked out on caffeine

Even when I’m on a bulk I don’t start eating until maybe 1-2

Good lord that dude is gigantic.

If he’s the strongest man in the world how would he fare as an OL with a great coach? I mean obviously he’s built way differently than someone like Will Campbell and Will could kick his arse on the OL, but why is that? Dude was the strongest man in the world at one point, seems like he wouldn’t suck?

Agree with this. I am 48, 6’2 and got up over 250. I decided my big issues were lifestyle and workout plan. These are my changes:

1. No artificial sweeteners
2. No sodas
3. No wine/beer
4. Drink on weekend only
5. 16:8 fast so eat only between 11am and 7pm
6. I order prepared meals online for lunch. This is huge for me because I would scavenge for food around the house for lunch.
7. 4 mile walk 6 days a week
8. Peloton 2x week
9. 30 min circuit weight training 3x week

I am down to 228 after five weeks, have more energy, and don’t really drink coffee anymore.

This is like telling people in credit card debt that they just need to spend less than they make to pay it off and save money. It’s true, but if they haven’t learned it by now, they’re not going to follow your advice.

If you have to eat under 2000 calories a day to lose weight you're doing something wrong.

It’s not hard, but you have to actively track it. As someone who has been tracking calories for about a month now, it’s really eye opening at times how the calories can stack up. Many probably think they’re eating healthy while still putting down 3-4K calories a day.

It's amazing how many people try to insist it isn't. Health and metabolism (which affects the calories in/out equation) are not that simple but weight loss is. Unironically, making healthier choices tends to lower your calorie intake and increase your resting metabolism. Even some of the fad diets steer you in those directions (like cutting back on carbs, particularly processed foods) but most are not sustainable so you end up gaining the weight back.

All this coming from a lazy fat boy.

This. Get moving. Walk an hour a day.
Eat sensibly. You’d be surprised how much weight you shed.

It's beyond daunting at first. Coming off sugar and carbs AND eating less makes your body scream. Your addiction to sugar withdrawal will literally make you sick. But IF you can be strong and mindful of everything that goes in your pie hole, it becomes easier each day. Keto isn't the only way but it's what works for me. But it's also fasting at least 12 hours AND walking.

People tell you not to weigh everyday, but I find it helps me to understand where I am and gives me wins most of the time. Even more than the weight loss is the realization that I do in fact need more discipline and structure in my life. It's the opposite of what your lying body says it wants.

There are certain immutable things in nature. The first law of thermodynamics is hard to get around. Nothing magic.

Plenty of other stuff to talk about when it comes to diet, but starts and ends with energy balance, everything else works off of that.
