I get that but I think it’s all in good fun. I lurked for two years before creating a profile so I knew what I was walking into. I can’t comment on how it was several years ago though

I’m referring to the political stuff. All the rest I get is in good fun. It doesn’t matter. Still a lot of good content to enjoy here.

I’m old enough that I check out senior dating sites to see what my future holds.

"Any of you older frickers have advice beyond the increasing risk associated with a common fart?"

56. Financially, emotionally, time-wise and stress-wise way better off now that I'm an empty nester. I fart enough that when I sleep my GF says I'm her personal OGRE...wait, what was the question?

Early 30's, the site was mostly Gen X and Millenial alums up until a few years ago. It probably still is, just a lot more boomers and zoomers now. My dad and my nephew both post now.

I lurked here for a long time but only registered in 2010. I was a mere 48 years old then. Staring down 60 in January.

I hate to tell you this, but it don't get any better.

My advice, walk out into that field of frick and burn that shite down.

Same. I'm 79, retired at age 56. I built my 401K, paid for my home, and bought my wife a new car and me a new Frontier.
Life has been great.

34. The hangovers are definitely more brutal now than they were 10 years ago. Worked for a major company for my first decade, have been working for myself the last 3 years and it’s interesting to look at where the stressors have shifted to and from in life. I give way less fricks about certain things and way more fricks about things that didn’t exist a few years ago. Not yet married and no kids yet, both of which I do want and am working on, but judging by the responses here often surrounding those two topics it’s going to be a shitshow. Cant wait.

62 and give-a-shite is broken. Lost my wife to cancer awhile back but still in our house overlooking the Cascades. I might even be OT wealthy, but who cares? Still glad to be on the green side of the grass!

I was just thinking about how when I first joined 10 years ago, I was one of the youngest on the SEC Rant and at 29 I'm still one of the youngest on the SEC rant. It's strange. I don't know what people do all day

Wow, the OT’s sentiment on life in general makes so much more sense now.

34. Started posting here when I had just turned 18 and started at LSU. So old.

Three kids is what makes me feel old. We live at break neck speed and idk how people have children and do this later in life. I don’t want to be waking up all night with babies or chasing toddlers in my 40s/50s.
