The irony is that the gun control measures currently pending were brought about by minority congressmen whose constituents have shown consistently the inability to control their emotions and lack in self control. Lack of self control as seen in Jefferson Parish.

A rational clear minded individual has a preservation of self in mind. A person who shoots up a gun range has to know they will not survive. Ergo likely has issues that fit under the broad brush on mental health.
Yes many killers are clear minded. This guy based on what little info we have does not seem clear mined. So I'm personally going to make the assumption that he was likely a little crazy. Though that shouldn't excuse any behavior. Not sure if you were getting at that.

Ok. I can see that point though I don't think he was thinking rationally. Though again and I'll get dinged for it again. I don't think street culture promotes rational thought.
