The stuff happening in the range is very muffled when heard outside the range. A gunshot in the general customer area of the facility would be perceived as extremely loud. "Attention-getting" is an understatement.
At least, this is true at indoor ranges I've been to.

I guess I'm overkill, but I always enter a new range sans gun first to see what their policies are, and then bring in my firearm per their rules.
