Saw some dude in the neighborhood put out about 3 trees worth of branches and some construction debris by the road the other day. My first thought was "someone didn't know about the new rules and he's gonna be pissed when he makes some phone calls about it"

Cut it up into smaller sections and make a few piles. Had to do this right as the new contract kicked in. My 6 piles about 6' long 3-4' tall each got picked up within a week.

The new out-of-cart vendor doesn't have more than 1 or 2 claw trucks. So the woody waste is picked up by hand like 90% of the time. It just needs to be in manageable sizes for 2 guys to throw in the back of the garbage truck.

I'm in ascension and we've never had bulk pick up. I can burn stuff where I'm at now but when I lived in a subdivision you'd have to haul it off the the dump.

New vendor

The ace EBR Parish negotiators signed a contract that is twice the cost for half the services of the old one. And no one can do anything about it. The same D pols will get elected next go around.

I cut my tree trimmings into easily manageable sizes and stacked them in an easy manner to toss and they picked it up a week ago. It was a lot.

They finally got one boom truck for the whole parish.

The company that does bulk picks items up with a rear loader by hand.

The smaller and more manageable the pile the quicker it will get picked up.

Worse comes to worse light tree debris is usually light.
Get a company that charges less for drop off and pickup & more per ton.

If it heavy go with a roll off
Company that offers a bulk rate.
