They are not natural diamonds. Keep telling your girl it's real. It's a transgender stone. Not real.

For all intents and purposes they're real diamonds. The thing is people get these huge rocks and it just looks ridiculous.

Buy a loose natural diamond that’s not mounted. You can get if from a diamond dealer online or find a diamond broker. You’ll get a great deal.
Stay away from any place in the mall or fancy looking free standing building.
Learn about the 4 C’s. An extra large crap diamond is a horrible choice. Remember, you’re looking for quality. Avoid anything that had carbon deposits you can see. You’re looking for an eye clear diamond.
If you want the stone to look bigger, have it mounted on a thin, dainty setting. And ask her (or her friends) what kind of ring/stone she likes. She’s going to wear this thing a long time. It’s better if she likes the ring.

Do it online with Blue Nile or James Allen.
Do not get a Tiffany ring it’s just marked up with a brand name no one will ever notice. Conversely don’t get one from a cheap discount outlet with their own “rating system.”
Study the color and clarity ratings and let her pick out a stone and setting style if possible.

Think about how many miles of dick she had run through her before you climbed on top of her and buy accordingly.

Why don’t you take a fist full of tiny Carrots and shove them up the insides of your anus.

Add Whiteflash to the list. Their ACA diamonds are amazing (you do pay a premium).

Cut
Cut is the quality of a diamond's proportions and symmetry. The better a diamond's proportions and symmetry, the more sparkle it will produce. Cut is the most important of the 4 Cs.
Carat
Carat is the measure of a diamond's weight and size. We offer an array of high-quality diamonds ranging from 0.18 to 25.00 carats- with 1.00 carat being the most popular.
Color
A diamond's color grade actually measures how little color it reflects. To strike the best balance between cost and beauty, go for diamonds in the Near Colorless range: G, H, and I.
Clarity
Clarity indicates how many flaws are visible to the naked eye. Too many flaws can detract from a diamond's beauty.

Lab grown diamond for a $1,000, Alex. Quality, real diamonds at half the price.
If you do go this route, don’t buy a massive diamond that will generate a million questions about how you could possibly afford it. She doesn’t want to know it’s not the real thing, and she doesn’t want to have to constantly explain that to others.

I wouldn’t get a lab grown Diamond for engagement or wedding ring. If you love someone enough to marry them get the natural. That being said everything else I buy for my wife is lab grown. Lab grown is taking off really fast but I think natural will always stand the test of time.

They are considered real but it’s new and I don’t know how they will be looked at in the future. There’s a reason they are a lot cheaper than natural.

Does she like diamonds, or are other precious gems ok? Personally, I like bright colors and I think diamonds are kinda boring (they’re clear, ffs). I got a rare colored sapphire of exceptional quality for my center stone, and diamonds to the side of it.
It took months to find the right stone going through a trusted jeweler my family has used for decades, but to me it was worth it. I have a unique ring, and I still get compliments on it after all these years.
If she isn’t interested in the different colored gem stone path, research the 4 C’s of diamonds. Research what the price should be so you don’t get ripped off. Then just pick a style you think she’d like and go for it.
Good luck, baw!

Besides the don’t do it advice…. What yall know about diamonds and rings? Any tips?
Figure out what she wants. Buy what she wants. Accept that it will be extremely expensive for a small rock and a metal band that have no real value but will make her happy.
In effect, you're learning how to be married before getting married. You won't understand it, you won't like it, but you must do it. Might as well make her as happy as you can.
I found someone I knew and trusted who knew stuff about rings, told them my budget and what I knew my wife wanted, got them in touch with my now sister in law after I had talked to her parents to get the details, and had them give me some guidance on what the "best" thing to get was. Then I went to the store by myself, picked it out myself, paid a shitload of money for it, and my now wife still loves it.
Like I said earlier - first lesson of marriage. Accept that it is illogical and dumb, then push that out of your mind and apply some significant effort into getting what she will want. It'll go a long ways for both of you.

Illogical? Absolutely. No argument here.
Dumb to try to please his future wife with something that she will cherish and pass down to one of their children or grandchildren? Absolutely not.

She will run, like Usain Bolt, to a real jeweler to have it appraised, "for insurance purposes."
She will be disappointed if you get a Diamonoid.

To get your diamonds now before the overstock from covid goes and prices go back up.
Seems like a scam.

They are marked up well over 1000%. Find a used one. Don't buy it from a jewelry store.
