What would you miss if you had to go back in time and live in the 1980s and/or 1990s?

1. The free smut that you get to watch on your phone? (Imagine explaining that sentence to someone you meet on your time-travel trip.)
2. Online banking?
3. Legalized cannabis?
4. Other?

Other than advances in medicine, nothing. I would miss absolutely nothing, and it would be awesome.

Am I the same age as I was in the '80s?

I'd like to have the knowledge I have now. You can keep all the money stuff, sports results and stocks etc. But I'd want to have the understanding of life, people, and especially women I lacked when I was a dumbass teenager.

Having instant access to information. It's hard to remember what it was like not being able to look anything up whenever you want.

As someone who grew up in the 90s, if you were a nerd and hungry for information, it helped if your family had set of encyclopedias.

Nothing, the '80s were amazing. The '10s and '20s, not so much.

As long as I looked like I did in my early 20's, and had the wisdom I have now--- absolutely nothing.

...Also, it helped if your family's cable package included Discovery Channel, the History Channel, A&E (before it became the Dog the Bounty Hunter Channel), and TLC (before it became the Honey Boo Boo Channel).

That would be rough. Imagine dating a coed right now. The lack of maturity would be annoying.

Being able to look up anything on the phone and using map directions on the phone.

Huge box tvs and VCR tapes would be a pain in the arse knowing about dvd and streaming and flatscreens.

That may be about it.

pretty much this, plus what Kafka said about possessing the accumulated wisdom I have now while still being the same age I was then.

I mean there’s a few recent innovations like Spotify and espresso vodka that I’d miss, but I’d find some sort of alternative.
