Having instant access to information. It's hard to remember what it was like not being able to look anything up whenever you want.

This and healthcare are about it for me. I wouldn't miss much else.

I mean there’s a few recent innovations like Spotify and espresso vodka that I’d miss, but I’d find some sort of alternative.

I enjoy GPS but I was an adult before I had access to it and I don't remember just wandering around lost all of the time

You seem bitter and grim. Almost

Kafka-esque

If you grew up in the country with no access to anything, all this stuff is freaking awesome.

shite was not great in the 80s. Life was far harder.

I remember in the early 80s when your favorite college football team played about 3 times a year on TV.

There was an 11:00 am JP game and the 2:30 game and that was it.

You had to listen to your team’s game on the radio at 1:00. Heaven forbid if you didn’t live in the State of your favorite team. I was a LSU fan living in Alabama at the time. I had to read about the games in the Sunday paper.

You think you had it tough? I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed.

Downloading music, movies, and tv shows. That's about it.

I would be happy as was in the 90s with my binder of Cds and 36" 150 pound tv.

The tech was good enough in the 90s , but to mention the music and cost to income.

I know I managed to get around but I just got back from a five state driving trip in the NE and I can't remember how I did that prior to GPS. Going through NY state and Manhattan was hard even with the GPS.

Could depend on how many times your favorite team received a TV ban from the NCAA (that penalty seemed to be a common occurrence in the 80s and 90s).

It hasn’t been criminalized. You can still do that while enjoying the technology.

Started in the 70s, and the 90s was their Golden Years. No one thinks today's ESPN is better than what it was in the late 20th century.

You try to tell the young people of today that, and they won't believe you.
