I donate to Children's Hospitals and Children's Miracle Network.
I tell people that's where my money goes. I can't solve every problem, but I can do what I can without feeling pressure or guilt from panhandlers.
So I simply tell them "my money goes to children's hospitals", then walk away.
ETA: oh, and Trump. I'll donate to Trump stuff directly too. Not through GOP or Trump hanger-on shite - straight to Trump

It’s true but I do like mentioning my Jeep. I kind of wondered why she was hitting on somebody in a Jeep. We can spot a phony (i.e., Bronco) a mile away.

The best panhandler/homeless sign I ever saw was a black dude in DC. It read, "Not gonna bullshite. I'm just trying to get a bottle, a woman, and a bed for the night. In that order."
I stopped, talked to him a bit, and gave him $20. I can respect honesty like that.

If this woman had a sign that had her honest reason on it, I think it would say that the man in her life ordered her to go out and get more money to support his/their drug use lifestyle.

I had one approach me one night as I was coming out of a store.. she stated she ran out of gas trying to get to work and wanted to know if I could give her a dollar.. I asked her where was her car and she pointed to an empty parking lot..I’m thinking with gas $3 a gallon how much fumes can you get for a dollar..told her sorry all I got on me is Monopoly money and moved along..true story..
