I don't know why people don't respect property lines. One is a crime, the other is not. I hope the cops told you to frick off and this was y'alls fault.

How would you have felt if the neighbor walked over and petted your 4 year old daughter?

A harmless person walking on my lawn isn't going to bother me in the least.

Keep your hands off of other people's property. Had that dog bit her we'd be having a totally different conversation.

His girlfriend just came over and talked to me for 30 mins and apologized. She was cool. She said he hasn't cooled off yet, but she's making him come over in the next week to apologize. She felt really bad for what happened.

Did the gf say why he got so upset over someone petting his little dog? Seems bizarre. Maybe he thought she was going to take the dog.

Think I'd talk to the humane folks about the dogs being tied up all day long in the sun and other weather.

First, I know my neighbors and made sure I established the right relationship with each one. Jame's is friendly an likes to talk about his past military service and any new projects I may be fooling around with. Barry knows a bit about anything mechanical and is a good resource. He likes to talk about family. Jeanie is a nurse and is like an Aunt to my sons. She likes to have us over to swim. I help her family with things around the house when they need something. Don is a real smart old guy who keeps to himself and waves a lot. His conversations are short and to the point but he is very friendly as well.

Oh, I digressed a bit. I would have just told my family to ignore him and I would have also asked him what else can we do to simmer it down. It appears he wanted to have the back and forth argument.

You really should have put on your favorite beard oil, put down the fidget spinner, taken the training wheels off, and thrown some cafeteria food in his face, then had some more bum wine.

The least you should have done is mooned him in front of the whole party.

M neighbor lost his shite like that. Cursed me and my wife in front of our seven year old daughter. He was mad my kids wouldn't play with his grandkid. His wife then came over screaming at me. I got pretty riled up.

A decade later we are all good. He's made sincere amends, we literally hugged it out. Here is what I learned. Irrational, angry people are often in personal crisis and turmoil. They are suffering. Sometimes it's good to let a guy unravel to defuse the situation and react with compassion, because it helps them see the error in their ways. Don't meet aggression with aggression with neighbors. Hear them out, think whatever you think, but smile and be calm. And remember that even if they never make amends, that compassion for our enemies is the wise choice even if it feels like it will be nearly impossible.

I would have got my garden hose and soaked his fricking arse. I told him he looked pretty hot so I figured he need to be cooled off. Let the fight commence.
