they never do
i know b/c i was once that way and still get there from time to time
it's a very tough thing to realize that this human that has created such an oxytocin-producing film of perceived happiness doesn't want to be around you
it's even more difficult to realize that quite often it's b/c they're selfish and complete pieces of shite who were just using you as a stopgap while they lied to themselves to justify why they were slumming with you
nobody likes to have the internal dialogues that come from those 2 things
i know b/c i was once that way and still get there from time to time

Go down on her for an extra long time when you have the makeup sex tonight. You want to make sure to clean up everything her ex left in her to prove your commitment. No traces of him can be left anywhere or you're doomed to failure.
