Ya, I left G6 and took command of a company in Mannheim in the middle of their move to Schweinfurt. USAREUR packed up and moved to Wiesbaden that summer.

Then I left command right before Schweinfurt shut down.

KTown wasn't too bad. Graf sucked balls of course, but not nearly as much as Hohenfels.

For about a year of my time in command, one of my platoons was in Hohenfels supporting one unit or another every quarter.

We did this once by accident in Germany. There weren't any crops but we tore up the field. They were definitely compensated for it.

They compensate frickin Afghans for their fields, I’m sure they would more than compensate people from a NATO ally.

What if the farmer shot and killed a few soldiers? Could the farmer declare that this was a foreign military on his land that he thought was being invaded? Assuming he lives.

This has me thinking. If we are at war with Isis and you by chance see someone waiving an Isis flag, would this be considered a war enemy that requires action of disposal ?

Would an English farmer be charged if he killed a German soldier on his farm back in ww2 ?

This issue in Europe has been extant since 1946. Since then, property owners can receive payment from the US for the maneuver damage caused by military training.

The property owner makes a claim, and there is an official process to make such a claim.

Pics of farmer's daughter?

That wouldn't turn out well for the farmer. Status of Forces agreements and all that jazz.
