There are some people that go no matter what, others who refuse no matter what. This thread is attempting to ask those who fall into the grey area.... Maybe they would be willing to go if..... If what? What would it take?

Prepare for "I'm not wasting an hour a week on fairy tales." It is coming.

The Catholics offer free food and booze and I still won't go. It would take a lot to get me to go.

like regularly?

I will go to church on Easter Sunday with my wife's family and I will go to church if I'm ever at my parent's house on a Sunday morning, but other than that, we do not go on our own

what would make me become a regular member of a church? I don't know. God coming down and revealing himself to me?

1. if it wasn't overly exploited and seen as an act of the devil if you don't attend. just because one doesn't attend does not mean they don't believe. peoples' faith is shown in many different ways.

2. if the people who go wouldn't shove it in others faces that it is the only way to live, but then when outside of the church live completely "sinful" lifestyles (asking for forgiveness over and over again for the same acts doesn't seem right to me)

3. if every sermon did not tie something into giving more money to the church. I'm all for donations when needed, but I don't think personal profiting from those donations is what the big guy upstairs had in mind.

A special event involving an immediate family member, such as a wedding or something equally momentous. That's about it.

I'll go if it's a family event. For example the last time I went to church was my nephew's baptism.
