I've been going to Orthodox services of my own volition, recently. The believing switch is not 'on', but the community is fantastic and I will profess nominal belief in order to participate.

Where are you and which jurisdiction's church?

but by stating that, you at least acknowledge that god did indeed come down some 2000 years ago.

No, no im not lol. Trust me. But im of the belief that I can often concede many points to believers, and still disprove many of their assumptions. So take it if it makes you feel good.

ow, did solomon say god had to come down and reveal himself to him the flesh today, or anytime during solomon's life time? since you like to play with words....no, he simply said he would like for to come down and reveal himself to him. which he has done.....theres lots of books written about it. even testimonials.

YOu know, for a guy who bases so much on the contents of a book, you dont read things very carefully. My boys name is SALMON, like the fish.

Also thats some weak sauce. Has Krishna not done this? Zeus? Thor?

There are lot of books and ancient testimonials about these. By your logic. Zeus has come down and revealed himself to you.

It feels empty to me. I find it impossible to truly believe what is said and taught, but that does not mean I reject it.

I dont mean unempty the way you think i do. I mean an empty lie is one that is harmless, one that has no weight or little repercussions.

"Your new haircut looks nice." is an empty lie.
