Economic collapse? Government regulation? Shaming by society?
I can’t even see a realistic way to halt the rate of increase.
I think we have become desensitized to all these people waddling around. If you stop and observe it is astounding how many people are overweight.

End EBT cards and make all fatties have mandatory outside manual labor.

Wal Mart getting rid of their fat carts would help. Every time I go to Wal Mart there's some fat frick on one of those things, the electric motor screaming in protest as the thing barely crawls under the enormous weight of said blob .
Yes, I shop at Wal Mart, I'm not traveling out of town to buy groceries.

For one thing, companies need to quit messing with food. Our food is not food anymore. It is boxed up chemicals.
Overfed but undernourished

Cutting off my dick would probably lower the average body weight by 10 lbs.

Fiscal punishment.
Hike their insurance. If they're on government assistance, lower it.
Only allow foodstamps to pay for healthier, essential options and not more red koolaid and twinkies.

Curb unhealthy foods at fast food places
Stop chain foods being served at public schools

Exercise <<<<< Diet <<<<< Self Control
^ fat people kryptonite
My solution would be mandatory fat camps. The money it would cost to get these fat camps up and running now would be drastically less than the astronomical amount in healthcare expenses associated with overweight/obesity that's looming in the not so distant future.
Or whatever solution Thanos came up with to save the universe from overpopulation.

Serious answer, stopping ridiculing good programs simply because of who instituted them would help. I'm not an Obama fan, but the way Michelle Obama was treated over her desire to help childhood obesity with healthier school lunches was ridiculous. Have yall been to any schools lately? There are a lot of fat kids going to school.
