I won't name the facility but I was having my company vehicle checked on the way through the gate and asked the guard if they knew exactly what they were looking for.
Immediately wished I could take the questions back. The Guard caused a scene, higher ranking guards showed up, they caused a scene, It almost cost me access to that site.
I wish you would have pulled that shite on me. The sound coming from my whistle would have damaged your hearing for the rest of your life. Fa realz!

Worked at the Apple store at the MOL.
Most laid back place to work. Not on commission, very few sales goals, and spent most of my time talking shite with coworkers.

I worked as a bag drop at a golf course, retail, and then in the paint department at Lowes/internships in my field my senior year. I do not miss it for one second. I worked every damn weekend and missed way too much college football while getting paid shite wages. I somehow had buddies that never worked a day in their college career. Used to grind my gears. But hey, it made me better and really helped me get a job once out of college.
I will encourage my kids to do the same one day because the biggest thing I gained from all of that is getting comfortable with job interviews and most of all learning the value of conversation and presenting yourself in a professional yet friendly way. People respect that and it can take you a lot of places.

I worked for my cousin Art Colley at Audio Specialties in the 70s (may he RIP). Great gig, he let me work in the afternoons and on weekends doing club sound system installs. Other weekends, he'd take us water skiing. Those were some good times.

What did you do while in college to get by, or just to have some extra spending money? Did you enjoy it? Do you miss the simplicity of it compared to what you do now?
First two years, worked weekends at a place that sold and installed bedliners and camper tops on trucks. Last two years, worked alternating semesters as a Co-Op student (Health Physics/Radiological Control Technician).
The first job was awesome, because I got to do a lot of stuff in new trucks...which was cool. The Co-Op position was fun because I was paid well, had a great work environment and received school credit for the semesters I worked.

I worked at both Jos A Bank and at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in T-Town. I don’t miss anything about the ReStore. Jos A Bank was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed learning about and wearing suits every day (plus i was set for my first job out of school at New York Life).
I work in project management for a construction company now, focused on industrial. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but there certainly are some days i do miss the simplicity of working in a relatively chill environment.

I don't remember the exact years but I think I was there in 1998 or 1999. I'm sure we probably know each other. First name start with an E or A?

I ran the BREC park off Hooper Rd. It was a pretty awesome job.
I could sit in my office and study, go shoot hoops with the kids, or hang out in the front throwing the football or pushing kids on the swings.
In the summer I was the summer camp director. So played with kids all day.
For extra cash I also bar tended at Prytania.
My senior year I also worked as an athletic trainer for the women's volleyball and softball teams. That was both boring as hell and a blast. I'm still kicking myself for having a girlfriend back then. Several of the VB chicks hinted at being interested in me but Nooooo I had to go and have morals
When the softball team found out I was going to be their trainer they told me "once we get on the road for away games, you're our toy".
So the stereotype that they are all lesbians isn't completely true.
But again, the girlfriend thing cockblocked me.
Probably for the best. I wouldn't have been able to handle them chicks....

Worked for a DME company delivering hospice equipment and medical supplies. I loved most of it. Spent a lot of time driving all over the northern part of the state. It's crazy the things you will see going into thousands of peoples homes for a couple years.
Worst part was having good patients/clients that you get attached to, knowing that one day you'd have to come pick up the equipment. Angel of death type thing.
