This was done by Americans. Escobar had nothing to do with this. He also wasn’t the man behind all the cocaine. The Ochoa family was. Several good books out there about this. The Man Who Made It Snow is the most definitive book on the subject.

A big part of running a successful business is setting procedures in place that make it difficult for employees to steal from you. This is true for any drug business too, and I'd guess it's more difficult than in a legit business.

Some dude claimed to have taken an IQ test and scored between a 130-138. That's a massive variation.
