They should've known they were going to lose eventually , and run out of resources kill screw their own people.
Only plus side was British empire losing colonies and some country becoming economy powerhouse

I think the end goal was to win and once that was off the table the end goal was to reach a stalemate and once that was off the table they surrendered.

Well, the fact there were so many attempts on Hitler's life during his reign as Furher, the folks in charge of the military surely had to know they couldn't win the war, especially as Russia started their big offensive and the Allies landed on D-Day.
The movie "Valkyrie" made it pretty clear some of the military was willing to go to death's door trying to wrest control of Germany out of Hitler's hands. The bomb that failed to kill Hitler was detonated the day after the Allies landed in Normandy.

Dude...didn't you watch "The Rocketeer"? The Nazis wanted to create an army of flying soldiers for world domination.

Severely weaken the UK and control the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

You know that Hitler was a certifiably crazy man, right?
The entire war was his vision and he convinced low IQ Mussolini and rabidly expansionistic Japan to go along for the ride.
He truly thought he could "correct" German errors of WWI - deal with Britain on the side and cooperate with the United States.
Japan, for their part kind of screwed him by attacking Pearl Harbor - brought us in probably a solid year, year and a half earlier than Hitler was ready for.
His plan was:
1. Secure France/Low Countries,
2. Knock Russia out
3. Deal diplomatically and economically with the isolated Britain and United States
On paper, it was the old late 19th/early 20th Century Schlieffen Plan on steroids. In reality, any protracted conflict comes down to logistics and Germany has always been shackled by resource chokepoints.

I'm thinking Japan had plans for the Pacific.

Hitler was a text book case of everything works until it doesn't.
France taking too long and too much material to conquer. The Russian invasion getting put off by 6 weeks all added to a bad situation. For Germany and Japan the wars were about resources, which they thankfully never got to exploit. For Italy, Mussolini needed a show to stay in power and was trying to not be absorbed and overshadowed completely by Germany.

This is the general impression I’ve always had.
Germany wanted control from France to Russia, Italy wanted to control the Mediterranean, and Japan wanted China.
They could then isolate UK and USA and have 3 allied superpowers against us.

Not only the military but also Germany's political elite who were marginalized by the rise of the Nazi Party.

Didn’t it take less than 2 months?

To rule the world?
Did anyone ever do this? What do you do once you're ruling the world, just make weird laws and shite? It seems like it's more about the taking over the world and less about ruling it, ya know? Like the real world domination was the friends we made along the way.

They actually might have forced an armistice if they had broken the Russians at Stalingrad or not made so many blunders on the eastern front.
That and if they had conquered Britain, the Americans wouldn’t have had a launching point.
Everybody wants to rule the world
