I have heard the food stamp people getting into a fancy car so many times in my life it's ridiculous.

I wonder why yall keep making up stories like this?

Back before EBT cards my mother actually worked in the Food Stamp Office handing out the Stamp Booklets. She often talked about people coming in and getting more in monthly stamps than she made working the month. And yes, she saw firsthand what people pulled up in to get their stamps. Quite a few (obviously not everyone) came in Lincolns and Cadillacs. So, it is not an Urban Legend as you claim - it is a fact.

Noone takes satisfaction in such stories. It is an example of people taking advantage of the system and rightfully pisses people off, so they talk about it.

this is an urban fact, not an urban legend. do you even understand what an urban legend is? .

the cheerleader having to get her stomach pumped after blowing the entire football team that your cousin's friend's older sister knew two towns over is an urban legend.

the roller coaster in your hometown amusement park that supposedly killed or maimed someone in some horrific manner at some unspecified time in history (SkyScreamer at Astroworld had some girl get her hair caught up in the machinery at the top and it ripped her scalp off when it dropped!) is an urban legend.

something that literally anyone can go personally observe on any day of the week at pretty much any time of day at a Walmart in any city does not qualify as an urban legend.

That there are black panthers all over Louisiana. I've been hearing this one since at the 90s. Here are two different stories from two different pages about two different sightings, one in 2023 and one this year.

The one-night stand that ends with the dude waking up the next morning and she wrote "Congratulations you have Aids on the mirror in lipstick".

Cal down Squint. The legend part I'm referring to is all of these people seeing this happen. I have no doubt it happens but honestly...when was the last time you stood in line at a grocery store and really looked that closely at someone's credit card they used to pay with to tell if it was an EBT card or not? No way anyone could tell what kind of card it is.

Guy with a hook for a hand killing couples parked on lovers lane. Young couple parking hears something, gets spooked and leaves. Later they find a hook on the car's door handle.

Drug dealers giving out colorful LSD stamps to kids.

Guy waking up in a tub full of ice after having his kidney stolen.

Heard one about a young boy being attacked and castrated in the bathroom at the Plaza shopping mall in N. O. East.

All these predate the internet.

i havent personally witnessed gangbangers in the cities offing eachother either, does that make inner city murders an urban legend?

if someone says that they saw something personally and they didnt actually see it, but it's something that everyone knows is happening, that doesnt make it an urban legend. it just means that person is lying about seeing something.
