Have you knocked and spoken to their immediate neighbors? If you're worried about it, someone else is too. Why not call the police on a non-emergent line and explain your concern? They might drive by and look into themselves.

I don't know, I think having a living neighbor who intentionally leaves christmas decorations up well into february is worse than having a dead neighbor.

Knock on the door and ask if everything is ok. If someone answers and asks why, just tell him that you noticed the christmas decorations still up, and didn't know if someone may have died in the house. It's a subtle hint to tell them to stop being trash, and have some respect for your property and your neighbors.

First, a disclaimer: I'm providing these updates because they have been requested and I enjoy being entertained by sagas on the OT, so I feel I'm just doing my part to entertain after initially posting get perspective on the situation. I'm not going to violate the privacy of my unknown neighbor nor incriminate myself and not going to post pics, etc for those reasons.

That said, I took the dog for a walk last night after watching "The Walking Dead", so I was pretty paranoid. I also want to follow the progress in the move "The Burbs" as close as possible.

There is zero sign of anyone being there. After about 3 days of passing by a few times a day. I didn't go onto the property but no dog outside, no yard maintenance, tire tracks, etc.

No sign of death either: no overflow of mail, newspapers, flyers, etc.

I have not heard back from the HOA administrator (we're in transitional phase so admin is done by property management company), I have now emailed and called.

When I get home today, I'm planning to knock on the door sometime before 6:00 PM.

I got this online, but this is basically what it looks like, although this Santa has gloves one and there is a dog (blown upside down currently). It's about 6 feet tall.
