re: Potential GOATs in baseball today - CJD4LSU
He may have the talent but no way to predict if he has the longevity. I'd rank Mantle, Mays, Griffey, Dimaggio, and Cobb over Trout right now. He has a long way to go before he passes any of those guys.
Just being in the same sentence with these guys says all you need to know. What...

re: Anybody been to Camden Yards for a game? - CJD4LSU
I’m was down in Baltimore a few weeks back and stayed at the hotel across the street from the ballpark. I was waiting for my wife and son to arrive at the airport, but their flight was delayed considerably when trying to leave Atlanta. This gave me some free time, so I decided to take a walk down th...

re: LHSAA Marsh Madness 2018... - CJD4LSU
Damon has athletes at every position. Is he sill rotating them in and out five at a time, or is he sticking with the starters more now? All those kids look like they can ball...but they woulda ran into a whole lotta trouble if they’d brought that to the gym in Holly Ridge back in the day. ...

Rayville was a little sluggish in their quarterfinal game, an only won by 8. I’m sure that got their attention. What type of style does Red River bring to the table? ...

re: LSU 2018 Basketball Recruiting Thread *updated-ish* - CJD4LSU
I realize this thread is about the 2018 class, but next year’s top, in state, prospect is Mylik Wilson. Wilson is a SG and is ranked as the 13th best SG, in the 19 class, by 247. Here is a little article that I ran across: “The Top247 for the basketball recruiting class of 2019 has been updated ...

When he was named the head coach, I honestly wanted to believe that he would be good for the job. Surely someone who loves this university as much as he does would do everything within his power to make sure we return to being a championship caliber team...at least this was my hope. I bought into th...

re: Anybody here got experience selling sports card collections? - CJD4LSU
There’s a shop in BR called Joneseys. He might do you a solid and take a look, but like the others have already said, it’s from the junk era of collecting. They overproduced everything and the cards from that era aren’t worth much, if anything at all. Best case is to take a look at what you have...

re: Civil War movies that are appropriate to show in class (6th-8th grades) - CJD4LSU
This is for my wife’s class. She is trying to decide between the following 3: Glory, Gettysburg, and The Red Badge is Courage. She wants it to be age appropriate, so I told her I’d help look for more options. I appreciate the responses. I’ll forward the information in this thread to her. ...

Civil War movies that are appropriate to show in class (6th-8th grades) - CJD4LSU
What movies about the civil war, that illustrate the historical context of the war, are appropriate for showing in a junior high classroom? Looking for something that shows how the war started and how it impacted the nation. What do y’all recommend? TIA ...
