I didn’t say anything about whether or not people would have died at work. I was just saying that these systems haven’t been complete busts, even if they didn’t pan out to be as bad in Louisiana.
It’s not a perfect science. Small things that cannot be forecasted until the event begins can impact how it plays out. There is no way to make a perfect forecast, but the meteorologists try constantly to improve. Models aren’t perfect, but they try to constantly input new data into them to make them better.

The NWS doesn't determine what people do with the forecasts, they just produce them. You're mad at the wrong people.

This was complete bullshite today, just as last weekend. People were absolutely hysterical today. There is no reason to scare the shite out of people like that. There is no way to calculate the loses inflected on businesses today.
These forecast are very inaccurate yet the media sells them as imminent disasters of biblical proportions.

All of the school and business closing decisions aren’t made by the National Weather Service. They put out their forecast, and say what they feel will happen. These last two events stayed rather tame in Louisiana, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t high impact in other places.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. Louisiana and Louisiana media.
We don’t live in Mississippi or Alabama that traditional have issues with tornadoes.
