75 Vizio.

Quick story: TV started crapping out at 10 months, they sent me a brand new one.

FYI: giant arse TVs take 2 people to mount on the wall. I have no idea how one person could mount a TV on a wall

50 inch Samsung 7 Series. Would have gone a little larger but our living room is long and skinny. Only 12 feet wide and 25 feet long so we’re not sitting more than 8-10 feet away depending on what seats we’re in. The old 46 inch Samsung is out on the deck.

Yeah, until about age 50, at which point it's just a sign of blindness.

48 inch Vizio that has to be 9 years old. It's the only size that will fit in the massive cabinet in that room.

The wealthy people I know have huge TV’s and huge beds in their huge houses.

Just bought the Samsung NEO QLED Q90A. 65 inch.

Picture is phenomenal, especially when playing the PS5 (supposedly it's the best LED TV for PS5) and I can't believe how bright it is.

It's the TV industry's first stab at Mini and Micro LED technology and gives the LG OLEDs a big run for their money.

I decided against LG OLED because of the burn in risk and not aging as well.

The way our living room is arranged we don't really need a much bigger TV than 55" because we don't sit that far away from it. Might go 65" with the next one but that's about the max size.

I hope this Vizio lasts another 8 years though. The 1080p picture is fine for me and we stream everything and don't have unlimited internet data.

A lot of houses that were built in the 90s to early 2000s had built in TV shelves that could only accommodate 50 inches at the maximum. 35 to 42 inches was the norm back then for the average TV.

TVs that are 60 inches to 85 inches really didn't get more common until the 2010s and for new houses being built these days, the designs and floor plans will have to account for those increased TV sizes.

But the thing is that if you use something like a 4K apple TV as a streaming device on a 1080p TV, you're leaving a lot of picture quality and a thousand extra pixels on the table.

It's a very noticeable difference and impacts your viewing experience.

It's a failure to take advantage of the strengths of your equipment.
