What possessed TJ Ribs to change their sign to that hideous one?

The old one was so much better. This one looks so cheap and unprofessional. Looks like an amateur was playing around to come up with it.

I miss their $20 wings and beer nights for MNF. Good times.

Is Cannon’s Heisman still on display that he whored out for free food and drink from the owner?

Last ditch effort to stay in business because the issue isn't the lower quality food or stale interior or lower end clientele.....it's the sign.

This mixed with the 99 cent margs gave me some of the worst hangovers of my life back in the day

Dunno, but I have no idea how the Siegen lane location didn't pan out. Ditto that on the Prairieville location.

Both were busy whenever we went.

I worked at siegen for a long time in the middle of them opening pville.

$.99 margs killed siegen. Before that it was a pretty nice mid range restaurant with reasonable food prices and a good atmosphere.

The cheap drinks brought the cheap clientele.

The pville location rent was too high. That in combo with a smaller seating area than the other two and a horribly laid out bar and kitchen was a recipe for failure.

The 20$ wings and beer deal was the best MNF deal in town for a while. I loved working it. Send the good looking girl bartenders to talk to all the dudes while I stood at the drink well pouring beers continuously for hours.

Fun fact, we averaged ~1200 beers poured a night at siegen during the height of that. The place sat 200ish

I actually think that the food quality is still solid, somehow. But the restaurant is in a steady decline.

It was a place I looked forward to as a kid. My dad and I would walk around while waiting for our food, I loved it. Haven’t been back after seeing the interior completely changed.

I am not sure that there is a restaurant in BR that has had a further fall from grace over the years. That used to be THE spot to see/be seen 40 years ago. It was a borderline "high end" restaurant.

That was my idea. I think Pluckers was doing it so I mentioned to Kevin (Frances), and they started doing it.

Their smoked wings are the best...I love them so much I mentioned them in my book.

That said, I don't think I've seen the new sign.

@Jody enjoying the craziness of a family of 5??. The age gap in kids means we're paying new driver bills, daycare bills, and still changing diapers all at the same time.

It's fun, but damn is it expensive and hectic. They don't warn you about this part, probably by design!

I worked there in the early ‘90’s. It was a fun place to work, especially before the new hostess started - a beautiful girl but a grade A dingbat and a bitch.

I worked during the start of the Gulf War, the first war that was televised in real time with visuals of smart bomb deployment. The war was on every big screen TV in that place. Eating ribs, drinking booze, and watching war on TV! Tips were great!

Absolutely this. The only reason I liked that place. That and maybe their margs.
