Seriously? Did the gubment just give employers a bunch of money to be forgiven, but now their employees don’t want to come back to work because they earn more not doing shite. Now said employers may not get loan forgiven, what a clusterfrick

What’s most disturbing is learning how many hopelessly broke dicks there are in Louisiana. It’s Only $600/wk for 12 weeks. You’d think the OT got excluded from the group after their office pool won the Powerball jackpot.

It was a back door to $15/hr min wage. The Dem's will do everything they can to advance their agenda during a crisis. I mean why let one go to waste.

I have no college degree and graduated from high school in 1999 and I’m not sure I’ve ever made less than 43,000 a year. If I did it was 1999 my first year working half a year offshore and maybe the year after.

Nah, they're brilliant; they know exactly what they are doing, and they are getting exactly what they want. Control. I still work, and I would take a paycut, even with the extra $600. But even if I didn't I would still work. The Gov't can KMA.

Sounds like some of y'all are jealous, but I wished you all used the same energy against business that's getting bailouts again. Sad, I'll tell ya

On a related note, I can tell you that some employers are doing very shady things. Know of a situation wherein employer has not necessarily laid off some employees but neither has employer allowed said employee(s) to come in and work. Employer got a bit angry with someone who sought to take advantage of the federal relief available because, per employer, "it was going to screw up their efforts to get a grant". Read into that what you will.

Off the top it reeks of serious problems, perhaps even outright fraud. I suspect much of this is going on.

I'll take the idiot that decided to force businesses to close for $800.

Governors forced businesses to close.

Senators voted on the unemployment spiff.

I doubt there are too many governors in the Senate and vice versa.

Employer tells employee come back to work. If employee refuses, they dont have a job to come back to when the extra $600/week of federal money stops in July. Good luck on that $250/week in state unemployment if the state doesn’t cut that off too when the employer reports that the employee refused to return to work

New jobs aren’t gonna be easy to find when things reopen because of the number of businesses that closed for good or had to cut staff to stay afloat or because of government restricting the seating capacity in restaurants or number of customers allowed in a store at a time

As soon as that $1200 came out I knew the election was decided. I mean i knew before that when I saw the field. But when I looked online and saw the same people who normally hated him praising him, I knew he'd win.
A lot of people voted for W for reelection just because of the cash refund he sent everyone in 2001.
This was more and everyone got it this time.

If unemployment is more lucrative than working, then maybe the issue is how little the workers were getting paid.
