I tried watches but they are too uncomfortable. Had an Oakley Razor Blue dial and Omega Sea-master. Sold them and tried Apple Watch. Just too uncomfortable. So now I have pocket watch, my smart phone.

I just got it back from MY and he did an amazing job on the case restoration but it started running slow and losing a lot of time overnight within a few months of being back and I don’t have the stress capacity to send it back to Hong Kong.

Dealer sent it back to Rolex. 5 weeks to get it back

I wouldn't call it luxury but I've been wearing a REC Mark I M2, made with the steel from a classic Mini Cooper.

Can personally recommend two Indy Rolex guys with parts accounts (this is a must if you ask me). Phillip Ridley in Arizona and Rik Dietel (spelling?) in Seminole, FL. You can check TRF for recs and r/Rolex as well. You can also cross reference these two guys there. I have vintage and neo-vintage pieces that mean a lot to me that these guys have worked on. I've had Rolliworks do some bracelet work and Laser Welding, but not impressed with his watchmaking skills other than outside which he is excellent at.
Might also chat with Pete Piccollino. He is very transparent about the way he goes about business with his YouTube videos. He is a watchmaker and a dealer who deals in Rolex, AP, PP, etc for buy sell and is an excellent transaction partner. Extensive vintage knowledge. Pays fast by wire and stands by his deals (I know you aren't buying/selling, just speaking to his character),

It is kinda cool that they repurposed the steel; there were a bunch of more sexy UK choices than the original ordinary Mini Cooper (from ‘59 to 2000).

There's a guy on Reddit that does amazing distressing and ageing work on Tudor and Rolex clones. His tropical aged subs are a work of art.
