Novel idea they could try teaching, like actually conveying knowledge to the kids. You know kinda what a teacher is supposed to do.
My exe was a teacher and I'm dating one now so don't jump on me. Most teachers these days are glorified babysitters. Tell the kids what to do on their Chromebook then babysit. It amazes me that highschool kids write and communicate on a level lower than most of us did in the 3rd grade. There is no way a junior in highschool should be writing 3 word sentences that barey have a passing semblance of the English language. It hurts my head trying to decipher what some of these kids write and how stupid they are.
My exe had a kid miss 79 days of school and not only passed but also didn't have to take finals. Huh? 79 days missed out of like 130ish days! The school admin was perfectly fine it. The teachers that do try or do care get no support from the front office and either burn out or just give up on trying.

I dated one a few years back. It was tough, you aren't and never will be her husband and her love for him doesn't die either. So you end up being in this odd limbo. She loves and cares about you but at the same loves a ghost of a perfect husband. She seemed to always have this unbelievable reverance for him like he was superman. I kinda knew the guy he wasn't that and didn't even treat her great.
It's a hard situation to jump in to.

Last time I was in the Hill.Country, I fished Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe in my kayak. We had a real slow morning on Canyon until I saw a crawfish at waters edge. Then it was on, I switched to a salty craw and that's all she wrote. I amazed my Texas buddies after landing several fish in a row, they paddled over wanting to know what I was throwing.
Also there was a moonshine place on the main drag in Fredericksburg that sold frozen lemonade moonshine. That made the crowds and snobby people much much more tolerable.
Well from what I remember, those thing really creep up on you.

Which one of those was the extra tall Biden?

My fatass read the subject line and immediately started trying to decide which food group I could live without.
Yeah I still don't have an answer to either the food or women question.

Probably wouldn't have anything to do with the fact you could push your finger through what was left of rivets holding the bridge together 15 years ago among other structural issues. Yeah that's not internet Karen fears.
Years ago the debate was wether the bridge would collapse before the project to replace it even started, I guess we did luck out on that one.
It will need to last a minimum of another 6-7 years for the new one to be constructed. If there was a bet on Polymarket for over/under on 10 years to completion I'd bet the house on 10+. The first part of the project isn't even the bridge, that's the I-10 -210 interchange to the base of the bridge. The major brunt of the start of the project will be that.
With that being said, the project being a design build I could see it maybe being done on time maybe just maybe. Money talks.

I've been on a couple of projects in Lafayette for the last two years and I agree. I've never heard so many people honk the split second the signal turns green. I guess you're expected to have a trans lock on during red with the tach pegged to launch as soon as green flashes.

I do love my 458, I joke it's like walking up to a hog and hitting it with a 10lb maul. That is a hog slaying round.

8.6 Blackout

What's the concensus on the 8.6 Blackout? I'm intrigued but not sure I want to pull the trigger on a round that could wind up strickly a handloader, but it could also blow up in popularity when suppressors are easier to obtain.
It does have some interesting attributes as a sub round that can cover most hunting shot ranges.
Would it be that much different than the 458 Socom I already have?

All you can do man is keep your head up and keep looking forward through the storm clouds for the sun.
As cliche as this is, things will get better.
A few years back I had one of those years were everything that could go bad did. I lost so much and went through so much pain. Body blow after body blow just waiting for that knockout to come. All I could do was roll with the punches. But I did survive and I found my place in life again and I found someone that was better than I ever had before. So keep your head up and don't let life or the demons win, you're better and stronger than that. Good luck.

Sail the whole time! We did it and after talking to people in the airport on the return, I realized how much more amazing my sailing adventure was versus hanging out by the pool and maybe going do a few cool things.
Find the places normal tourist don't go. You can do this on a sailboat. We found some awesome off the beaten path spots sailing that most tourist never lay eyes on.

I was near that area, I was wondering where all the Sheriff vehicles were headed.
I just traded in a 2023 Mojave Gladiator. I loved it other than it was a steaming hunk of shite. Changed out all four shocks twice before reaching 25k miles. Had an oil leak and electrical gremlins pretty much from day one. Several small cosmetic things would just break. Stellantis ruined the Jeep brand with their nonexistent quality control. I love Jeeps but won't have another anytime soon.
The original plan was to open the first one not in Texas in Lafayette. The owner got pissed when right before construction was supposed to start Louisiana politics or better yet certain people with their hands out wanted more. Baton Rouge area was next then that fell through. Owner got pissed and at one time said he would never put one in LA. I guess he finally relented. This was coming from someone who knew Arch.
Burnt Bean is really damn good as is Truth, but I gotta question Redbird at 4. I’ve been twice and neither time did I think it was top tier. Not even close to some of the old standards.

We always do an after boil omelette the next morning. Dice up and toss the leftover components into an omelette and enjoy.
I’ve also done a soup like bisque with the leftover crawfish, corn, and potatoes that came out great.

Clarification first, only women and let’s just say it’s been a pretty good run the last couple of years. The purple mattress always gets high marks as well as other goods and services offered.
Purple is hands down the best mattress I've ever had. It's hard to describe to people. It's firm yet soft all at the same time. I've had nothing but compliments from anyone that's ever slept on it.

I had a coworker whom needed just a few little bumps to make it to 100%. Last thing she claimed was hemorrhoids that she got while pregnant in the service.

I thought it's been shown to be the opposite of this. The US started funding ESP and other off the wall programs after learning that Russia was heavy into it already.
