Any old bread type food in the house is tossed into the woods for birds and squirrels.

So boring then

Frugality, and hoarding of food from my mom. Over organization from my dad.
I lived four hours away for 30 years. I moved to the same town as them in 2011. My mom has sort of picked up a habit from me since then. When something bad happens to me, I have a tendency to laugh. An example would be laughing when I stump my toe, or even if I spill something. The odd part of it is she doesn't laugh when it happens to her, she does it when it happens to me. That's really irritating.

Scolding anyone who doesn't turn the vent fan on while cooking on the stove.
Thanks Dad.

turning off the lights in unoccupied rooms. I don't even know when i started but, if i see the light on in a room or a closet with no one inside, i have to turn it off. when i know the house will be empty, i do a light check and turn them all off before leaving.

Smoking, drinking, whoring, cursing and drugging but I can't think of a single thing I picked up from my dad...

Being frugal and creative with food/leftovers.
TLDR Example, on a Tiki Tubing trip on 4th of July a few years ago, BK had their long chickens on special for $1.04. I brought 20 of them and a pack of kraft cheese slices. I was laughed at until about the 6th Sammich was carefully tossed from the Igloo to a drunken floating friend... followed by the cheese slice that they sheepishly admitted wanting.
My old man was famous for that kinda frugal forethought. He could prepare and cook hot dogs and chips for an entire little league team in the middle of nowhere Texas from the shite he packed in the trunk "just in case". And All for about $10-15.

Tapping out the drum cadence the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band uses. Dad used to do that randomly all the time.

i've been told since i was in high school that my father and i have a very similar gait. I thought this was a bizarre observation, so of course it's always stuck with me. My brother and I both shake our feet anxiously when we are lounging about.

Cigars. Few things I enjoy more than a stogie.

I feel like this is more than half of my job at home.
Otherwise it’s buying and sharpening knives and buying bright lights. Get that honest from my dad

My grandfather used to make pretty much this same face whenever the evening news featured the latest liberal bullshite.
Find myself doing the same thing all the time.
