Corporate IT and IT security are completely separate. You don’t want the guy tasked with taking support calls to reset passwords and telling people to reboot your laptop configuring your firewalls and switches. We also have OIT and a stand alone cyber department under that. And attached to them is a compliance group.

Always busy. The shake machines are always down because of improper cleaning and maintenance. They are very sensitive and any little thing like not putting enough lubricant on a moving part just cause the machine to go down. Very rarely is it a serious problem like a bad compressor etc. They just half arse clean it and throw it together. The machine I fixed today looked like it hadn't been cleaned in two months. I have seen some shite. I can work as many hours as I want. Multiple coolers, freezers and mccafe machines etc to work on in north Alabama.

Earthmoving construction has kept on humming in north and central Alabama, coal mining and quarrying still going as well. Which mining was hurting before the Wuhan virus anyway. Smaller machines like compact track loaders and mini-excavators are selling but big iron like large dozers and rock trucks have slowed. Generator business is off due to lack of events I believe.

Well, I know for a fact that at Check-In2-Cash, Roto-Rooter, and Cutco, IT and cybersecurity are in the same department. Can't speak for other, less prestigious organizations.

I don’t know what an operator is, but if you work for HCA, and they are cutting positions, whatever.
I am in nursing leadership. Our OR’s were practically shut down, and ER volume cut probably 50% for a few weeks, but there was enough other work to spread folks around. The surgery department is blowing and going again, and ED volume is coming back.
