If you're in a mature enough organization, cybersecurity/information security is separate from IT...and hated by IT.

I'm in the chemical industry and we are running reduced rates but still working full shifts.

That's pretty accurate.

I know the SOs just restructured so they're shifting to doing more forensics, which he's excited about.

I’m in healthcare operations and strategy for a huge player and we’ve been hit hard. Let go all contractors and pay cuts across the board.

Because all the hospitals are fricking empty! So much for flattening the curve just to help hospitals. We’ve been empty across the country for 6 weeks and are hemorrhaging money by the billions every month.

fricking liars in Washington.

Health care, for the most part.

Yes and I think that some of those jobs are higher paying than some people realize. A friend of mine is an attorney for a state agency and makes $150,000 and got an 8 week paid vacation.

Construction, but I believe that is temporary. We are supply chain, but expect a huge dip later this year, into next year. There will be no new municipal project, MUD projects, and banks will tighten their lending on developments. Too big a budget shortfall for cities to weather.

Let's just say the beer industry is an essential business. No one here has been laid off or lost one day of work.

It's not though. Plenty of government functions have been shutdown for going on two months now.

When they released some tax comparisons here in Kentucky a couple weeks ago, the alcohol industry was the only one that had exceeded their previous year's levels. Beer and bourbon.

I avoid digital forensics like the plague, and hell I even have a SANS cert in it.

I'm in construction and we haven't slowed down one bit. Been busy as shite. Blue collar workers can't WFH, and white collar workers still need their new bathroom built.

Yep, one of our clients just completely canceled our contract about a month ago. Others have asked for reduced rates because they are gutted right now. We've had layoffs, luckily I've been safe and my division has only cut a handful of positions. But, we aren't getting new work because hospitals aren't wanting to allow us in (we are consultants) and they don't really have the "extra" money for our support at the moment.

Courts, for one.

I think it's up to August now before a jury trial will occur in the state of Louisiana.
