I’ve been collecting a few: drone photography, video editing and color correcting which is a work in progress, gardening which is leading into collecting rare fruit tree scions for grafting. I know this sounds sick, but I’d like to pick up some rewarding work like going after child traffickers or something. I’m getting tired of animal disease outbreaks.

May not be for everyone, but interpretive dance is my go-to hobby.

Man, me too. My dad didn’t know much about that but he was good at teaching/coaching sports so that’s what we did . My wife has more skills / knowledge about that than I do

I spend basically all my spare time learning new skills, I just move from one project to the next. I've built houses, boats, cars, RV's. I can fix anything down to circuit board level repair.
I can play guitar and have been learning banjo for way too long.I started a software company in my spare time, etc. I took the DMV to court over their stupid rules and beat them.
In addition to all of this, I've always worked a 40-50 hour a week job and spend a ton of time with my family.
I basically go into every endeavor believing there is no possibility that I'm going to fail. Once you take that off the table, you figure out if you work hard enough, anything is possible.

Telekinesis would be awesome.

You can just buy that trick at the magic shop. They are dwindling these days though.
But that reminds me of another skill I'd like to get better at if I had more time-
Card tricks. I know how a ton of them work from youtube, but you gotta put in time practicing over and over and over all the different moves to make them seamless, which I don't have time for, but if I did have time for, as OP states, I would absolutely like to master many of the tricks instead of just knowing how it is done.

No. I'm talking about truly moving things with your mind...

I almost quoted that in my post. "It's not the spoon that bends, it is your mind"

The fact that this thread went 4+ pages and there was only 1 mention of anything athletic, exercise, or self defense related makes me realize that everyone on the OT really thinks they can fight
Or just realizes you’re so far gone it’s pointless
