There is not a problem in my opinion if English is encouraged as a second language. But forcing English to be learned and discouraging or using corporal punishment when you use your native language as used by your family unit is a form of cultural genocide.

My family immigrated here in the 50's. When my dad, aunts and uncles started elementary school they couldn't speak a word of English and nobody at the school catered to them.

Not only did they all get through fine, but they all prospered.

And guess what, they continue to speak Spanish in the household to this day.

It's not some reprehensible ask for people to assimilate to speaking English as a first language if they want to operate in American society. And there's nothing stopping them from speaking their native language at home if they want to maintain that culture.

In that case I am in favor of cultural genocide. Convert them or kill them.

It makes one wonder why so many folks from foreign land want to come to this "racist" country.
Why not go to Haiti, of South America, no evil racist English taught there.

At no point in your post do you make the connection from this one page in a book to current college curriculum. Also a proper education includes guess what...... reading things you might disagree with or think differently, if not you'll be a close minded rube

I'm no right winger but I do agree with Charlie Kirk in that you don't need a college degree to make it in America.

Don’t worry, no one would ever make the mistake of confusing you for right of center. Early.

t’s like they’ve been taught their whole life what to think but never learned how to think.

I'm a HS teacher and I have come to the conclusion that this generation questions nothing. They will blindly accept whatever some whore on Tik Tok or Instagram spouts off. I really believe that it is because they are so lazy that they can't even put forth enough effort to think.

They have been taught by society, SJW's, parents who want to be their "friends" and the media that "rules and deadlines are just suggestions, and the most important thing is that their feelings don't get hurt"

Hopefully, it will turn around but the shepherds have been making too much money off of the lazy, stupid and compliant sheep.

I guess it depends on the class/field of study. I'm pretty sure my son isn't covering this in his materials sciences, and cost estimating classes he has this semester.

Schools and universities are basically just indoctrination centers, unfortunately.

So I guess our engineers, doctors, physicists, teachers, nurses, writers, chemists, accountants, and attorneys come from outer space?

I work with a lot of young Physics Postdocs. I can assure you that some of them very well may have come from outer space.

Well, look at what happens in comedy shows filmed on the west coast full of Asians and see what they clap at. Just because they have CS degrees or JDs doesn't mean they haven't bought into that shite.

Sooooo...maybe deconstructing our language isn't really as productive as they think?

Or it is very productive because the ability to self-analyze is what makes the US different from other cultures who have done similarly horrible things.

Job market is even worse for the blue hairs now that USAID and the US Dept of Ed has cut jobs. Starbucks is always hiring though. Learn to latte.

Let’s be honest, neither k-12 nor our universities are doing a bang up job at educating today’s youth. It’s been a growing problem for decades and is only getting worse. I think a step in the right direction is taking place though in the dismantling of the Dept. of Education. It’s proven to be an abject failure and needs to go. Give control back to the states and local communities instead of blue-haired leftist ideologues in Washington more interested in furthering their political agenda than educating our country’s youth.

What's funny is the Spanish colonized much more of the world than the English, were also mostly white, but the English are the ones that are viewed as the colonizers and not the Spanish.

What do you mean by this? Be specific, Louisiana curriculum is set by BESE aka a State Board. It's evident that you likely know nothing about this topic besides talking points.

Is it ok to speak Arab languages? They are sure as hell colonizers. Currently in the process of colonizing and colonizing minds of soft minded folks without any logic to see what is happening and what they are supporting.
