If anyone ever wanted to relocate to a specific location and find certain employment this is the time. Probably never have this opportunity again.

I’m off work today and I get an email from my dumb arse boss asking me to let her know when I am going to be off. I felt like replying with you approved this several months ago. Check the time system and learn how to use a calendar like the rest of us. I will refrain though.

They're not going to look as long as you keep working the weekends.

A concrete delivery truck driver can get a job anywhere in the world right now working as many hours as they want to work.

. I don't mind pulling my weight during the week and working a few extra hours here and there, but screw working nearly every weekend.

If you keep doing it, they have no desire to hire someone else. Youre going to have to be firm.

The new FMCSA Clearinghouse has deterred a ton of drivers.

Same problem where I work. We used to get around 60 applications for an entry level accountant but now we are lucky to get 15, with 5 that qualify for the position.

When you say "qualify" you mean, have 5-7 years of experience, a Doctorate, and be willing to accept the starting pay of $10/hr?

Sounds like you have 5 qualified people for 1 job. Why would you want more? Do you get off on rejecting people?

I'm in a relatively specialized (but needed) field, with plenty of experience, credentials, and results.

I can't get anyone to sniff my applications, and my employer just told me I can't get a promotion because I'm the wrong demographic.

I'm seriously considering changing industries and going blue collar/plumbing.
