Yeah, but that doesn't look like a picture of an AC-130. Tough to tell due to the glare on the radome, but I'd say HC-130, due to the refueling pods on the outboard wing, but could also be a T1 or 2?
Any C-130 gunship variant works for me.

Badass! Alan Shephard flew F-8s and that's good enough for me.

Same issue with the F-16 and F-35

. This is a old family photo. Dad is under the windshield on the CB talking to His high school buddy that’s in the cockpit. This whaler is also a project in working on right now. Great boat.

Despite being a Navy guy, I think the most beautiful aircraft ever made was the XB-70 Valkyrie. Seeing it up close as a boy in the USAF Museum up at Wright Pat was very nearly a religious experience.
I agree with this 100%. It's my kids fave, and we drove from UT to Dayton Ohio jus to see it.

SR-71, hands down.
A-10 if I had to choose one with guns.
This is exactly how I feel.

That’s cool! What’s the backstory?

That was a picture I took forming up off the coast before we did the “Covid” flyovers of New Orleans and Baton Rouge in May. Apparently Drew Orleans was also in the formation so I thought it would be cool to share.

Before the NOLA one. We didn’t have much time between the two because we were trying to figure out which jet had the dropped object. Our BD checks are a little more cumbersome than yours!

We still talk about the SR71 with awe even today and it was 1950s and60s tech, it makes you wonder are the faint rumors of something called Aurora, or some successor to the Blackbird, true?
They wouldn't retire it unless they had a replacement.
And don't say satellites, but you can't just put a satellite on station in real time.

A10 for me - the gun on the front is a fricking boss

On the front? More like they built the whole plane around it.
