Another vote for them. Just an incredible dog breed.

best dog I've ever had was a Bloodhound... but he was huge and had way more energy than you typically think one would have. They certainly don't just lay on the porch all day. He had a high motor and wanted to hunt all the time. And as big as he was, he saw himself as a lap dog and wanted to be right on top of you as much as he could.
Man I miss that dog!

That said, my next dog will probably be a Lab or a Cur. I fish a lot so I've always wanted to train a lab to hang out in the boat and not be a nusiance. The bloodhound never figured out how to do that .

I’ve always been partial to Labs and beagles.
I’ve known several people that had Great Danes and would like to have one but they only live to be 8-9 years old.I don’t want to deal with that.

A hippie Swiss!

Love Berners, but they are predisposed to dying young from cancer.

Good question but I'd say Dalmatians if I had to guess. Smart well behaved dogs and they're so cute, especially as puppies.

Another beagle guy here. Didnt have them growing up but when i bought my house i figured i needed a dog and fell in love with a lemon beagle from a litter my buddy had. Best dog i'd ever had. Got another one a few years later so my lemon would have a companion and then i had two of the best dogs id ever had. The lemon got out a few years ago and got hit by a car, watched the whole thing in slow motion and completely killed me and the other beagle for months. Ive never seen a dog get depressed and it was heart breaking. She wouldnt get off the couch for weeks. I had to carry her outside to go to the bathroom because she just didnt feel like doing anything.

Fast forward to about 6 months after the lemon passed and i go in to work and my coworker had found a beagle pup mix in the dumpster of his apartment complex. He brought him up to work and i went home with yet another beagle that same day.

GSP... Not sure I have the energy anymore to raise one tho. Mine is 8. I kind of want another tho. Maybe go with an English pointer or German wire hair.

This 80# retard is the most lovable dog I have ever owned. She's insanely gentle with my 15 month old daughter. Let's her crawl all over her and pull her hair, etc. she doesn't even bat an eye at it.

Goldens are the dog breed of dog breeds.

Gotta go labs. I have had 3. A yellow, chocolate, and black. The black one is by far the most driven, super well trained, on the whistle, and hunts like a mad man. The yellow is the most mellow, gentle, kids hang on him friendly you could imagine. Did alright with retrieving, but not super driven. The Chocolate was a psycho.
