Recruiters ghost people all the time. Don't feel sorry for you.

Came here to say that. I did an interview for a position and was ghosted. Two weeks later they call me up to interview me for another position that I was “perfect for”. I did two interviews for that position and was ghosted again. They couldn’t be bothered to take two minutes to respond to an email. If they call me again I may setup an interview just so that I can ghost them.

Well if they are that unprofessional, you're not missing out on anything is how I see it.

It doesn't take but a few seconds to make a call or shoot an e-mail to cancel an appointment.

Someone I know is having the same issue. Apparently it’s a common social media thing for kids to schedule as many interviews as possible and no show.

It goes both ways baw. I haven’t looked for a job in years but a recruiter reached out to me with an interesting opportunity and I agreed to hear more about it. We scheduled a time to talk about it then she rescheduled once and then completely ghosted me. People just suck, recruiters included.

I was expecting a cool story during the interview.

They just need to prove they are "attempting" to get a job not actually go to the interview....to keep those checks coming. Working the system

I called 8 candidates last week who actually put applications in. 6 didn’t answer or return call. 1 didn’t even have a working phone # . Only One came for an interview.

This is what we have been seeing too. Ours go through the interview process, get hired, and then ghost.

It's really weird.

That is how it is today. Kinda crazy. People beg us to give them a job so we set up the interview..... then nothing. Pics of a wrecked car texted to us but won't answer a call, pics of a hospital room from the bed POV, but won't answer a call. This is how it is now.

It is just a small straw in the Haybale of our declining society. People just do not feel responsible for anything these days and in general, being responsible is not a high priority.

It really is amazing how much our attitudes have changed and not for the good.

Very simple statement with a lot of weight behind it. Absolutely agree.

"ghosting" overall has become a problem, people simply not replying period, phone calls, e-mails, texts, no longer is there common courtesy. How hard is it to reply with a thumbs up or something.
