I worked for Gulf Telephone briefly when I left the Marines and one day the guy driving our fiber optic truck stop by his house at lunch. He went inside while I waited in the truck. Right away I heard shite breaking and he came running out the door blood everywhere with this butt naked black guy that was way over 6 feet tall, probably 6'4 maybe, beating the shite out of him for walking in on the guy banging my partner's wife. We drive off and he spends the rest of the day bitching and moaning about all the shite he would do if he went back. I offer to take him back home and he declined. Went to his parents house instead.

The worst thing I ever walked in on was a Texas State Park bathroom. Had a trail of shite splatter from the door to the stall. Had splatter like four feet up the wall in the stall. It looked like someone's arse exploded. I've never seen anything like it before or since. I took a quick piss in the urinal and walked out gagging.
A little while later we saw the park ranger drive up. He walked in, and three seconds later he walked out shaking his head. He got in his truck and left. About 30 minutes later he returned with a garden hose for the hose down.
It took me like 10 years to stop gagging whenever my brother reminded me of it.

I did some water chemistry work in the past, and saw all kinds of strange shite. Mainly in Mississippi. We would come up on people living in tent camps, doing drugs, etc. IDK why, but we were canoeing on one river, setting out equipment, and a Jeep Cherokee was in the river. Only the roof was exposed. Just a strange sight.

I saw what I thought was a window unit AC floating down one of the larger feeder creeks into the TN River once after several days of heavy rain all around the area (I was standing on the bank at a friend's parents' lake house) and all of a sudden it shifted and rolled until it was nearly vertical, it was a small single wide trailer. It rolled again and floated on by with the AC unit side down. The people inside probably burnt up when the AC couldn't get air flow.
Not the worst thing I ever walked in on but your post reminded me of this.
I don't know how it made it as far as it did and could not have made it all the way to the main river because it would have to have gotten caught up by one of the lower bridges on the backroads along the way. But it was a sight.
