quote:That happened to me this morning. First thing I think of when I'm taking my morning clean out is that I left the goddamn elf in the same spot it was yesterday. He was waist deep in a bag of M&M's because he needs the energy to fly. Anyway, I sat his little elf but in front of my TV, propped up my PS4 controller in his lap and my little nugget got a good belly laugh out of it.
You know what I'm talking about right? You just get comfortable in bed and are about to drift off when one of you realizes the damn elf is still in the same spot. So then you spend a few minutes arguing over who is gonna get up and move it and then you have to try to find some new place to put it. That ends up being your entire December routine.
Of course a week or so ago he says "Some kids at school were talking about their elf. What happened to our elf?"
I had to mumble some shite and quickly run away.
It's all in good fun. When I forget to move him I tell her that sometimes her elf is lazy like dad and just didn't feel like flying during the night.

I don't eat cupcakes.
Seriously though, if that's actually true I apologize. I was just being facetious

I'm not hating it to be cool. I think the thing is creepy looking. I also am scared of clowns. And hate creepy dolls.
So why should I give into some Christmas gimmick that's only origin is because some author 10 years ago found a way to make money off of parents?
This post makes it seem like it is all about you. Here is a tip - if and when you have kids, Christmas and many other things are going to be about them, not you.

Calling a woman that is trying to conceive barren is taking things a lil too far FYI

Yeah I have a hard time believing that people haven't seen threads on Elf on the Shelf before. There are at least 1-2 threads each Christmas about it.

I get my Cosmo's mixed up. Is the Cosmo the terrible poster from Ohio or Cosmo the horrible poster from the Ratchet City?

I like the little elf, and I like seeing it pop up on my FB with people's creative ideas.

I've got a family member who was so heartbroken when she found out Santa wasn't real that she refuses to tell her kids about Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc. - as in they do not believe in any of them and never have. I don't really get it, but I'm not going to tell someone else how to parent.

I'm sorry. It wasn't a serious comment. I don't really thing B is gay either.
