FTR we did the elf thing for a couple of years. This year we decided to ignore it bc it's such a pain in the fricking arse to remember to move it every damn night.

You know what I'm talking about right? You just get comfortable in bed and are about to drift off when one of you realizes the damn elf is still in the same spot. So then you spend a few minutes arguing over who is gonna get up and move it and then you have to try to find some new place to put it. That ends up being your entire December routine.
Of course a week or so ago he says "Some kids at school were talking about their elf. What happened to our elf?"
I had to mumble some shite and quickly run away.

I wake up an hour before anyone else at my house so that's usually when I move them.
