Pretty much. Tangi #1 St Tammany #2. East Carroll and Tensas are the bottom two.

Wouldn’t it be easier to ask which is the beat parish?
Posted on 10/24/19 at 1:43 pm to debragga
Do Beauregard, Vernon, and Sabine Parishes get an honorable mention?

Washington parish has Bogalusa so there's that.

Gotta be East Carroll. Insane poverty.
Honestly, this is the correct answer. Other than farming, there is virtually no redeeming quality in the parish.

That was average household income per parish. Tangi is #36.

Driving through Ferriday was very depressing. How people live there is beyond me.

Lafourche
Vermilion
Lafayette
Acadia
St. Tammany
Top 5 Best. In order. Acadia would jump Lafayette if it could ever sell Crowley to another Parish.

All the ones on the west or nw end of the state
NELA might be poor but the people there are great and if you like the outdoors are fun
West and Nwla is a bunch of pine trees with hardcore baptist - some towns are still dry

My vote is Jackson Parish. Collect all the resident's teeth and you still can't fill one mouth

Maybe you misunderstood my post, but I listed St Tammany as Top 5 best Parish.

Anyone who answers other than this has never been to East Carroll Parish.

5 pages and no one has said Grant?!

There is always going to be bias depending on where you spend time or pass through.
Catahoula (Jonesville) and Concordia (Vidalia and Ferriday) are pretty shitty in my experience but Livingston took it to another level this week.

Cameron. Nothing there but a two street town, swamp/sea march, houses on huge stilts, and mosquitoes as big as deer flies.

The stories that come out (see the teacher and LPSO thread) make it sound like the Florida of Louisiana.
Well that area is known as Florida Parishes.
