an overall day. What is the single most horrific day of the year?
Not 9/11
Not Oboma
Not Hitlers birth
Not D-day
Not when Nick Saban was hired
Not Ghettisburg
Not today
Not the A bomb
Not Friday the 13th
The day of recorded history where the most people have died. I believe somewhere there is a day that literally more people have met their maker than any other.

it is often regarded as one of the single largest (nearly 2.2 million personnel) and bloodiest (1.7–2 million wounded, killed or captured) battles in the history of warfare

The December 26, 2004 Sumatra tsunami has to be high on the list.

Clearly it was the day the original Earth blew up. Luckily we had the giant Space Arks available and the government took all the stupid people and had their memories of the event and transport here to New Earth erased...

(Stolen schtick...)

It's a tie between the day we passed the 19th amendment or the day the American League adopted the DH rule.

Shaanxi Earthquake:

The 23 January, 1556 earthquake in Shaanxi, China is the deadliest earthquake in recorded history. It is estimated that 830,000 people died because of this earthquake in a single day, making it the bloodiest day in the history. A total area of 840 square kilometer was destroyed and many people who lived in natural caves were buried alive when the caves collapsed.
